New book club offers professional growth and community

So much of life is just skimming the surface.

Glance at a headline. Scroll through Instagram. Scan a recipe to be sure it’s quick and easy.

I need things in my life that run counter to that. Ways to dig in, to go deeper and slow time down, to let my brain sit with concepts and to share those thoughts with others in real conversation, beyond a social media post or a sound-bite.

Do you ever feel that way? If that resonates for you, I encourage you to join me (Laura Bowles, The New Normal) and Dawn McAvoy (McAvoy Consulting) in the Deeply Thinking Professionals Book Club. We’re reading one book per month and meeting twice virtually each month so we can split the reading and conversation into two parts, allowing us to have a richer, more meaningful conversation about the topics than would be typical in a book club. Our hope is that participants will leave with deeper understanding and a sense of community and connection that will impact their professional and personal lives in meaningful ways.

Virtual Meetings: 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, 11:30am-1pm on Zoom
