SensePlay Studio Celebrates Ribbon Cutting in Fairfax
SensePlay Studio celebrated its official ribbon cutting in the City of Fairfax on Friday, April 10 at 3:00 PM, marking an exciting milestone for the growing business and the local community.
Founded by Charry Lee, SensePlay Studio was created with a passion for early childhood development and a focus on sensory-rich, open-ended learning. The studio offers a space for children ages 6 months to 5 years to explore process art, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and hands-on discovery.
The ribbon cutting ceremony brought together local leaders, community partners, and supporters to celebrate the occasion. Attendees included City of Fairfax Mayor Catherine Read, members of City Council, representatives from Fairfax City Economic Development, the Old Town Fairfax Business Association, and the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce.
The program featured welcome remarks from city officials, followed by remarks from founder Charry Lee, highlighting the vision behind SensePlay Studio and its mission to create meaningful learning experiences for young children. Guests then gathered outside for the official ribbon cutting and photos, followed by light refreshments and time to connect.
SensePlay Studio chose Fairfax City for its family-oriented environment, central location, and strong sense of community—making it an ideal place to bring this concept to life.
The addition of SensePlay Studio further enhances the range of family-friendly experiences available in Old Town Fairfax, and we’re proud to celebrate this milestone alongside them.
About SensePlay Studio:
SensePlay Studio was born out of a passion for early childhood development and the conviction that profound learning occurs through sensory-rich, open-ended exploration. With a background in education and classroom research, the founder’s goal was to create a space where children aged 6 months to 5 years can engage in "process art," prioritizing the joy of discovery and tactile experience over a finished product. The business chose Fairfax City for its family-centric community, central accessibility for families in Northern Virginia, and its supportive, close-knit atmosphere.
