Enjoy a free guided walking tour through Old Town Fairfax. See the original Courthouse (built in 1800) where George and Martha Washington’s wills are stored. Explore sites of Civil War violence, espionage, and unlikely romance centered around that Rebel bandit, John S. Mosby. And discover local grandees like Ratcliffe, Farr, and Willard, whose legacies formed our City.
The tour starts at the front of the Historic Fairfax Courthouse (corner of Main St. and Chain Bridge Rd.)
We recommend you wear a hat and sturdy walking shoes, and bring a bottle of water.

The house was built in three phases: 1807, 1824 and 1927. The daily activities of some of its twelve owners and occupants are interpreted for visitors, illustrating commercial and domestic change along Main Street during the 19th and 20th centuries.

Sip, stroll and explore on this relaxed, social brewery walk. We will visit three of the area's local breweries, each just a short walk apart. making it easy and enjoyable for all fitness levels.
At each stop, guests can choose their own beer! One brewery stop will also include a shared appetizer, giving everyone a chance to refuel, settle in, and enjoy the social aspect of the tour.
We will have time to enjoy each brewery, to get to know the distinct vibe of each place that we visit.
Non-Drinkers are welcome to join the tour for the social experience. We will have NA drinks upon availability and of course the above-mentioned appetizer.
This tour is perfect for locals, visitors, couples, friends, families, singles, and anyone looking for an easygoing afternoon with great beer and good company.
The tour is two hours and includes four five-minute walks to the different locations please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather. Since the tour is mostly indoors, we will go on the tour in almost any weather but do reserve the right to cancel and reschedule if the weather is too severe.
We are looking forward to introducing you to the brewery side of Fairfax City!

The Mason Trunk or Treat, a tradition that has grown to 1,000 attendees, is back and will celebrate its 5th anniversary on Saturday, October 24, from 4 to 6 PM in Parking Lot L of Fairfax Campus.
The event is hosted by the Mason Trunk or Treat Committee, and registration is open to student organizations, university and Fairfax government offices, and area businesses that would like to participate.

The Saturday Market is a large market with approximately 45 vendors. It was established more than 25 years ago by the Downtown Fairfax Coalition. It is a busy market with lots of activity. Customers can expect lines at the most popular vendors and sometimes early sell-outs of popular items.
Driving, Bicycling, or Walking? Our market is easily accessible and located only a block from historic Old Town Fairfax. Lots of free parking. We are family and pet friendly so bring your kids and your pets (leashed). Picnic tables are available for onsite dining.

Enjoy a free guided walking tour through Old Town Fairfax. See the original Courthouse (built in 1800) where George and Martha Washington’s wills are stored. Explore sites of Civil War violence, espionage, and unlikely romance centered around that Rebel bandit, John S. Mosby. And discover local grandees like Ratcliffe, Farr, and Willard, whose legacies formed our City.
The tour starts at the front of the Historic Fairfax Courthouse (corner of Main St. and Chain Bridge Rd.)
We recommend you wear a hat and sturdy walking shoes, and bring a bottle of water.

Ratcliffe-Allison-Pozer House Tours
Ratcliffe-Allison-Pozer House, a charming brick structure, is the city's oldest residence within what was the original six-block Town of Providence. The house was built in three phases: 1807, 1824 and 1927. The daily activities of some of its twelve owners and occupants are interpreted for visitors, illustrating commercial and domestic change along Main Street during the 19th and 20th centuries.

What started out in 1987 as a very small show has grown to become a premium arts and crafts festival. Artisans from all over the United States, including many local artists, are participating in this year’s show and we are delighted to be able to offer so many wonderful, holiday gift choices.

The Annual Labor Day Car Show is jointly produced by the City of Fairfax and the Clifton Lions Club. The mission of the show is to raise money for local charitable service organizations. Life with Cancer and the Cloverleaf Equine Center are the major recipients, and 100% of the proceeds from the show will be donated (all donations received are tax deductible). Donations can be made through the Clifton Lions Club (P.O. Box 41, Clifton, VA 20124).
The Show is open to the public and free of charge, however, spectators are encouraged to make nominal attendance donation.

The Saturday Market is a large market with approximately 45 vendors. It was established more than 25 years ago by the Downtown Fairfax Coalition. It is a busy market with lots of activity. Customers can expect lines at the most popular vendors and sometimes early sell-outs of popular items.
Driving, Bicycling, or Walking? Our market is easily accessible and located only a block from historic Old Town Fairfax. Lots of free parking. We are family and pet friendly so bring your kids and your pets (leashed). Picnic tables are available for onsite dining.

Ratcliffe-Allison-Pozer House Tours
Ratcliffe-Allison-Pozer House, a charming brick structure, is the city's oldest residence within what was the original six-block Town of Providence. The house was built in three phases: 1807, 1824 and 1927. The daily activities of some of its twelve owners and occupants are interpreted for visitors, illustrating commercial and domestic change along Main Street during the 19th and 20th centuries.

Enjoy a free guided walking tour through Old Town Fairfax. See the original Courthouse (built in 1800) where George and Martha Washington’s wills are stored. Explore sites of Civil War violence, espionage, and unlikely romance centered around that Rebel bandit, John S. Mosby. And discover local grandees like Ratcliffe, Farr, and Willard, whose legacies formed our City.
The tour starts at the front of the Historic Fairfax Courthouse (corner of Main St. and Chain Bridge Rd.)
We recommend you wear a hat and sturdy walking shoes, and bring a bottle of water.

The City of Fairfax is located 15 miles west of Washington, DC in the center of Northern Virginia. The flea meets on the last Saturday of the month, from April through November. We're staying at our 2024 location thanks to the generosity of our partner Ox Hill Companies and our sponsor: the Old Town Fairfax Business Association.
