Fairfax City’s Chocolate Lovers Festival is a beloved winter tradition featuring chocolate tastings, local vendors, family activities, live entertainment, and special promotions throughout Old Town Fairfax.
About the Festival
Founded in 1992, the Chocolate Lovers Festival brings the community together to celebrate Fairfax’s historic downtown, support local businesses, and indulge in all things chocolate.
⭐ The festival has grown into a regional favorite, earning Best Food Festival in Northern Virginia by readers of Virginia Living Magazine multiple years in a row.

Golden Ticket: Chocolate for Charity
February 1–14, 2026
Make your festival experience even sweeter by participating in Golden Ticket: Chocolate for Charity.
Purchase special chocolate bars from participating Old Town Fairfax businesses for a chance to find one of ten Golden Tickets and win prizes — all while supporting local nonprofit organizations!
Chocolate bars are produced by Cameron’s Chocolates, makers of extraordinary chocolates made by extraordinary people, with a mission to provide meaningful employment for adults with intellectual disabilities. (and one of this year’s grant recipients)
