This afternoon community gathering is designed for support during difficult times by providing a local, low cost half day "retreat" as an opportunity to step away from house-holding commitments and the noise of everyday life in the D.C. area, and devote four hours to self care in the form of meditative and gentle movement practices, a sound experience, and silence. At its core, this is an opportunity to relax, rest, and restore; students also learn or further their own meditative practice and take away skills that can help them regain equanimity.
