Asian Festival on Main 2025 to Support Area Non-Profits

The Old Town Fairfax Business Association (OTFBA), host of the annual Asian Festival on Main, presented two area non-profits with proceeds from the May 2025 event. Asian American Youth Leadership Empowerment and Development (AALEAD) and Choy Wun Lion Dance Troupe have each been awarded $3,000 to support their missions.

DC-based AALEAD supports low-income and underserved Asian Pacific American youth with educational empowerment, identity development, and leadership opportunities through after school, summer, and mentoring programs.

The Choy Wun Lion Dance Troupe is a Fairfax County-based dance group comprised of working professionals dedicated to promoting the treasure of tradition and Chinese culture through lion dance. Choy Wun Lion Dance Troupe is an integral part of the Asian Festival on Main and participate each year with several performances throughout the day.

The Asian Festival on Main was created to bring people together and highlight cultural diversity through food and entertainment. With ongoing support from the Old Town Fairfax businesses, the City of Fairfax and event sponsors, this annual event has grown into a marquee event for the city drawing thousands of attendees from across the DMV region.  

Asian Festival on Main is held annually on the third Sunday of May in Old Town Fairfax.
