Choy Wun Lion Dance Troupe entertains festival attendees with a special Lion Dance on Main Street, 2025 event.

The Old Town Fairfax Business Association (OTFBA) is pleased to announce their 6th Annual Asian Festival on Main will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026  from 11 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in historic Old Town Fairfax with presenting sponsor Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races

Asian Festival on Main was created by the OTFBA in 2021 to bring people together and highlight cultural diversity through food and entertainment. With expected attendance of over 20,000 attendees, this annual street festival has quickly grown to become one of the largest premier Asian showcases in the Washington DC Metro region.

This fun, free, family-friendly event takes place in the heart of Old To and features a full line up of live entertainment and cultural performances, 60+ Asian food vendors and food trucks, 60+ non-food vendors and exhibitions, kids activities, cosplay runway, beer garden and karaoke. New this year will be the Otaku Garden dedicated to Japanese pop culture, Panel Discussion on Asian Food Culture and an Asian Cultures Showcase featuring hands-on activities for all ages.

“Asian Festival on Main has become one of our community’s most exciting celebrations, bringing people together to experience the food, performances, and traditions of Asian cultures,” said Jinson Chan, Co-Chair. “We’re grateful for the incredible support from the City of Fairfax, our sponsors, local businesses, and volunteers who help make this festival possible each year in Old Town Fairfax.”

This annual event celebrates Asian American Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month in May along with the City of Fairfax who is an integral partner of Asian Festival on Main. A special proclamation ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at the City Council Meeting at 7 p.m. at  Fairfax City Hall (10455 Armstrong St).
