Calling all chocolate fans — mark your calendars for a weekend full of sweetness, community, and local flavor in historic Old Town Fairfax! Each year, this beloved celebration brings together chocolate lovers from near and far to enjoy festive activities, delicious tastings, and lots of chocolatey fun — all while supporting local businesses and community spirit.

What to Expect This Weekend

Over the course of the weekend, you’ll find something fun for every age and taste, including:

🍫 Liquid chocolate delights — a must-try favorite for true chocolate lovers including non-alcoholic and adult beverages
🚶 A chocolate stroll around Old Town Fairfax, inviting visitors to explore shops, restaurants, and sweet stops throughout the district
🏃 The Sweet Mile one-mile run, a fun and festive way to kick off the weekend for runners and spectators alike
🎶 Live entertainment and family-friendly performances

🏛️ Historic tours and open houses throughout Old Town
🎈 Kid and family-friendly fun with plenty of interactive activities like make your own cupcake, make your own chocolate bar, fun mock trials, see Harley Davidson motorcycles and more

Whether you’re sipping rich liquid chocolate, sampling and purchasing chocolate-infused treats, or strolling through the heart of Old Town, there’s no shortage of ways to indulge. Activities will be in various locations around Old Town Fairfax including the Stacy C. Sherwood Center, Old Town Square, City of Fairfax Regional Library, Historic Fairfax County Courthouse, Ratcliffe-Allison-Pozer House, Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center and various businesses.

🎟️ Golden Ticket: Chocolate for Charity

Make your Chocolate Lovers Festival experience even sweeter with the Golden Ticket: Chocolate for Charity going on from February 1 through the 14th! Purchase special chocolate bars from participating Old Town Fairfax businesses for the chance to find one of ten golden tickets and win prizes— all while supporting a great cause. (details will be coming soon) Proceeds from the Golden Ticket sale help support the grantees from this year’s Chocolate Lovers Festival: Britepaths, Music 2 Free and Every 1 Can Work. Bars are produced by Cameron’s Chocolates right here in Fairfax - the business was created to provide permanent employment opportunities for young adults living with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
