We are excited to announce Mackenzie’s Tunes & Tonics, is now expanding their live music offerings! (3950 University Dr, Suite 210)!
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the Fairfax City Council voted to approve a Special Use Permit to add live music, allowing the venue to expand its performances, community gatherings, and nightlife programming.
Situated in the heart of Fairfax, Mackenzie’s Tunes & Tonics has quickly become a beloved local establishment, known for its welcoming atmosphere, eclectic comfort foods, and commitment to fostering community connection. This milestone approval opens the door to more diverse entertainment options, open mics, and themed weekends that will further enhance Fairfax’s vibrant cultural landscape.
Owner Joshua Alexander gratefully extends, “All thanks to my friends in the Fairfax community. You are the reason I have been successful in this endeavor. We rise by lifting others. We look forward to celebrating this achievement at the ribbon cutting on December 4th, with special events planned all weekend.”
With this new permit secured, Mackenzie’s Tunes & Tonics will begin rolling out expanded entertainment offerings in early 2026. The celebration will officially kick off at the December 4th ribbon cutting, followed by a full weekend of special events designed to highlight this significant milestone.
